Sometimes I feel like retreating and hiding from the world, but I realised I don’t have to do it literally. All I need to do is let go of focussing on everything ‘outside’. Go inside, be quiet, avoid gossiping, turn off the TV, stop talking about others and worrying what they think of me. Just have one day of ‘staying inside yourself’ and have an inner retreat. You can still do it at work, at home or wherever you are and you’ll find it might bring some nice relief.
